Patricia Riden
Acolyte Master
Born
and raised in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Patricia came to the Episcopal Church in 1967. Ten years
later, she became the Acolyte Master at St. John’s. Patricia has been mentoring
young people for more than 40 years. It is her ministry.
“I
started with the acolytes to give the program some much needed structure. I
have stayed with it because I came to see keeping our young people involved in
the liturgy of worship is an integral part of deepening their faith and
teaching them the joy of service.”
A
retired French and Spanish teacher, Patricia’s hobbies include knitting,
baking, traveling, and reading. She revels in time spent with her family and
friends.
