William "Willie" Font

Deacon

William Font was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Puerto Rico. After graduating from high school in 1977, he studied history and philosophy in college. From 1980 to 1990, Willie was a member of the Order of Preachers in the Roman Catholic Church. He taught as a college professor for 18 years, and since moving to Oklahoma City 14 years ago, he has continued teaching at Santa Fe South Charter School. Education runs in his family. Both Willie’s children, Rocio and Carlos Alberto are also teachers. In 2019, he started the discernment process to become an Episcopal Priest and is in the second year of the Iona School of Formation, affiliated with the Seminary of the Southwest.
