Cynthia Cortright
Organist/Choir Master
Cynthia grew up in Cranford, New Jersey, just outside
New York City. At the age of three, she was given a toy piano. It would change
her life! Cynthia began playing piano at the age of six, and has built a solid
reputation as a soloist, collaborative artist, and teacher.
Cynthia has a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance
from Indiana University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from
the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Cortright has served as Organist/Choir Master
at St. John’s for more than 40 years. Cynthia has a well-established private
piano studio in Oklahoma City.
Away from music, Cynthia loves spending time with her
family, reading, cooking, and just enjoying life.
